A Little More About Me
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, Matthew, our three dogs—Nala, Coco and Ida—and renovating our little cottage.
I’m also lucky enough to have four children, three stepsons and seven grandchildren, so family is a big part of my life.
And if that doesn’t keep me busy enough, we also have quite a few Indian Runner ducks and seven peacocks! Safe to say there’s never a dull moment in our house 😊

I'm Pam, the founder of Howe HR Dorset, and I've worked in Human Resources for over 35 years.
I often say that HR found me rather than the other way around, but from the moment I started working with people, I knew I'd found the career I was meant to do. Helping businesses and employees navigate challenges, solve problems and build positive working relationships has never felt like "just a job" to me—it's something I've genuinely loved throughout my career.
By the age of 25, I had become an HR Manager, beginning my career in distribution centres in London before moving to Dorset. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to work across a wide range of sectors, including Dorset Police, the NHS, legal profession and manufacturing. Every industry has been different, but one thing has always remained the same—people are at the heart of every successful business.
Alongside my HR career, I've also owned and run three businesses of my own, so I understand the pressures that business owners face. It's not just about staying compliant with employment law; it's about creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported and motivated. Happy, engaged employees are one of the greatest assets any business can have.
People often ask why I've chosen to set up Howe HR Dorset when I could continue in a traditional employed HR role. The answer is simple. I wanted the opportunity to work more closely with businesses, providing practical, tailored HR support that genuinely makes a difference. I enjoy building long-term relationships with my clients and becoming someone they can rely on whenever they need HR advice.
